Join us at our London Bridge Bar and Taproom, in the heart of the Bermondsey beer mile for sunny outdoor drinks, cosy beer tastings and the best of London’s streetfood markets.
Here at Hiver we love all things beer and bees and the Hiver Taproom is at the heart of everything we do. It’s our office and meeting room in the week and our chance to pull up the shutter and welcome consumers into the world of honey beer on a weekend! We also take private party bookings too.
Our London Bridge bar and Brewery Taproom and Shop (know as the hivequarters) is inside a large two-story railway arch underneath the historic Victorian tracks into London bridge. It is a great stop on the best of London Days out that include sightseeing, food markets, distilleries and more. Our Taproom is also family-friendly and dog-friendly and you are welcome to enjoy the market streetfood in our Space while enjoying a beer.
The history of the Hiver Taproom
Hannah started the business out of a passion for sustainable produce and several years in the brewing world under her belt. The reason our Taproom is based near London Bridge and why we’re so proud to be part of Bermondsey’s Spa Terminus food and drink community, is because Hannah started the business here. By occupying a spare desk at neighbour Jensen’s Gin distillery and by selling some bottles on a Sunday as part of the Maltby St streetfood market. Over the next few years the business ran a Christmas pop-up in a neighbouring arch and by the following summer had taken over a big and empty space!!
The Taproom has grown up organically ever since and we’re now really proud of our bar and fantastic customer service that the team offer every weekend, rain or shine. Our Offering
Outdoor seating – If you’re looking for a bar or pub in Bermondsey with outdoor seating or a beer garden, then look no further! Our outdoor area captures the sun from late morning to early evening. Why not book a table now although we do keep back some tables for walk-ins, you’ll need to be early to catch them.
Our beers – As well as our award-winning range of sustainable craft beers and lagers we also serve English wines, gin and craft softdrinks. Our beers were featured in Shortlist Magazines best beers of 2020 and have won numerous international gold medals.
Taproom Tastings – Our 50 minute tutored taproom tastings are a great way to start any Saturday! We sell gift vouchers for beer and foodie lovers. Or you can also book into one of our beer tasting experiences here.
How to find us
The location – Find us a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge and Shad Thames and at the top of one of London’s best days out, the Maltby street food market.
We are a twelve minute walk from both London bridge and Bermondsey stations or 15 minute taxi journey from the city. The downstairs of our venue is wheelchair friendly with an accessible toilet. And we are a short walk from the famous Tower Bridge, beautiful Shad Thames alleys and the start of the South Bank walk. Our Taproom is also part of the Bermondsey beer mile so why not book a table to start your day with Hiver and some streetfood before exploring the rest of the London Brewery arches.

Cool London Venue – Aside from being a friendly, fun and independent bar, we also have an eye on sustainability so you can party with a conscience at Hiver. We also normally host a colony of honey beers at the arch each year between April to September and you can enjoy watching their antics behind the glass frames over a beer or three.
